Cottage/Area Details: "Falklands" is a 300 year old farmhouse, enjoying a peaceful and secluded location at the end of a country lane, in the Hamlet of Smardale.
Set in half an acre of carefully landscaped grounds, there are stunning views of Smardale Fell to the rear, and direct access to open country. The coast to coast pathway is less than a mile away, and there are numerous other paths and trails in the vicinty. This spot really does offer a wealth of walking, right from the front door.
Within 10 minutes drive is the pretty market town of Kirkby Stephen (shops, pubs, restaurants). A little further is Appleby. The Lake District is 45 mins away, the Howgills and Yorkshire Dales, much closer. |
