Lymington is renowned for it's sailing and Saturday open air market. Within walking distance from the house are a range of restaurants, bars, supermarkets and shops and the pretty quay with private yachts and working fishing boats. Two local slipways are available for the launching of dinghies and powerboats.
The open walks in the New Forest are just 1 mile away. Exbury Gardens, with it's train ride through Rhododendrons Gardens and Beaulieu Palace, and the renowned motor museum, all are within 15 minutes drive. Horse-riding, golf, indoor swimming/sauna, rock climbing, track cycling and dry skiing are also available in the waterside areas. Bicycle hire is available within the town.
