Cottage/Area Details: Drimpton village, lies amongst the beautiful rolling countryside of West Dorset, gateway to the glorious Jurassic Coastline. The Royal Oak, a few minutes walk from the cottage, serves good wholesome food.
<p>The whole area is excellent for walking with the historic Monarch's Way and a dramatic range of hills topped by Iron Age forts.
Beaminster the nearest small town has a range of specialist shops. <p>It is 9 miles to the shingle beach at Eype, from where you can walk over the cliffs to the beach at West Bay with its newly developed harbour, drive to Burton Bradstock for delicious hot chocolate! Try fossil hunting on the superb sandy beach at Charmouth or Lyme Regis
