Cottage/Area Details: Situated just 3 miles from Oban -'Gateway to the Isles' and set around an old farmyard in a picturesque glen. Cologin offers comfortable, well equipped one bedroom chalets and two bedroom lodges overlooking lambing fields and the hills beyond. Cologin is a superb base for walking and touring and guests enjoy free fishing on our trout loch in the hills. Pets and children are welcome and large family groups and clubs are regular visitors. Waymarked forest trails, a play-park and tranquil rural views are added attractions at this friendly, family run site. This part of Argyll has a well-deserved reputation for first-class sport diving and superb sailing, walking and wildlife. Oban distillery, the Sea-life Centre and the islands of Mull and Iona feature on most itineraries and further afield Ben Nevis, Glencoe, Inveraray, Loch Lomond and Loch Ness offer excellent day trips. |
