Cottage/Area Details: Nestling deep in the heart of Hardy's Wessex, amidst beautiful rolling countryside and yet only a half hour's drive from the sea, Durweston Lodge with its carved 1899 motif and elegant gothic stone driveway was built as one of three gate lodges for Bryanston House.
Stable Cottage is just along the driveway situated in what was the original stable yard.
These properties lie in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), within a Conservation Area, and alongside a site of Archaeological Importance (a buried medieval village). It has breathtaking views across the Stour Valley and across a paddock towards picturesque Durweston village.
