Cottage/Area Details: This magical cottage, reached by a flight of stone steps, is converted from a grade II listed barn. The many features include, stripped floors, beamed ceilings, hand painted furniture and quality drapes. There is a large master bedroom and a second twin bedroom. South Wingfield boasts its own village store, country inn, working flour mill and the magnificent Winfield Manor. There is a pub with food a very short walk away. The area is rich in country paths, with walks from the doorstep. Chatsworth House, Bakewell market town, Haddon Hall (all approximately 30 minute scenic drive away,) and all the Peak District's many attractions are near at hand including many antique shops and centres, please ask owner for details. For the more adventurous there is Gulliver's Kingdom, 15 minute drive, white water at Carsington, 20 minute drive Alton Towers theme park 45 minutes drive and Crich's Tramway Museum 2 minute drive. A superb holiday home in a great area for a holiday at any time of the year.
