| Accommodation Description: This detached 16th century thatched cottage offers: upstairs, 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom, downstairs, lounge/dining room with inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove, bathroom with shower over the bath, hand basin and toilet, and separate kitchen. Large secluded garden with garden furniture. Linen is £8 per bed in 2008 Towels £2 per person in 2008 Linen and Towels included on 2009. The minimum short break over the Christmas period must be five nights. |
Cottage/Area Details: This beautiful 16th century thatched cottage is situated on the edge of the village of Ebbesbourne Wake in the Cranborne Chase and West Dorset Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It nestles beneath a hill, surrounded by a large sunny garden with plenty of trees. Inside the thick cob walls it is warm and comfortable with old beams and an inglenook fireplace with a woodburner. The cottage is completely secluded, although it is only about 300 metres to the village centre with its church and pub.
The countryside is hilly, there are plenty of local walks and Salisbury, Shaftesbury, Stonehenge and Longleat are nearby
