Cottage/Area Details: Set in a quiet private road on the south side of Dunwich, The CLose is ideal for those who enjoy a peaceful holiday.
Dunwich is a small unspoilt Coastal village, situated in a protected "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty".
Once the largest post in East Anglia, the old town has dissappeared through erosion and now lies under the sea. This is well shown in our local museum.
There are numerous footpaths through wooded areas, heathlands, open farmland and marshes and, of course, fine walks along the beach, reached fron the cottage by footpath, all providing an infinite variety of scenery and wildlife.
Freshly caught fish can be brought from local fishermen on the beach throughtout the year and the popular beach cafe and Bridge Farm Nursery cafe provide lunches and teas. |
