Cottage/Area Details: The Old School House is an attractive 3 bedroom detached cottage in the popular Lakeland village of Threlkeld nr Keswick. Originally the village school house, the original cottage dates back to the 1780's, and now offers a high standard of accommodation with superb views across the fells and mountains from all windows.
Threlkeld is a small village, 5 minutes drive from Keswick, situated at the foot of the magnificent mountain Blencathra, which is very popular with fell walkers. The cottage is ideally located for those looking for a quieter base in which to explore the northern fells with many walks and cycling tracks right on the doorstep.
The popular town of Keswick has many attractions including tropical leisure swimming pool, motor museum, theatre and parks as well as shops, pubs and restaurants. With Derwent Water, Thirlmere and Bassenthwaite lakes close by this is a great holiday base, whatever time of year.
